Project Overview

AISVIP implemented a protection-focused intervention in Jere and Fune LGAs aimed at strengthening community-based protection systems for vulnerable women, children, and persons with disabilities. The project enhanced local capacity to identify, prevent, and respond to protection risks while improving access to essential support services.

Our Approach

The programme adopted a community-driven model that empowered local protection structures and promoted inclusive, coordinated responses to protection challenges.

Implementation Strategy

  • Strengthening community-based protection structures
  • Capacity building on gender-based violence (GBV), child protection, and disability inclusion
  • Training on safe and effective referral mechanisms
  • Enhancing coordination between community groups and service providers in health, legal, and psychosocial sectors
