In collaboration with MenEngage Nigeria and supported by Sonke Gender Justice
AISVIP implemented a comprehensive gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response programme across North-East Nigeria, aimed at strengthening systems for survivor support while addressing harmful social norms that perpetuate GBV.
The project enhanced the capacity of Primary Health Care workers to deliver survivor-centered services, including identification, clinical management, psychosocial support, and referral, while simultaneously driving community awareness and advocacy initiatives.
The programme combined health system strengthening with community engagement to ensure both effective response services and long-term prevention of GBV.
