GBV Capacity Strengthening & Awareness Programme – North-East Nigeria

In collaboration with MenEngage Nigeria and supported by Sonke Gender Justice

Project Overview

AISVIP implemented a comprehensive gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response programme across North-East Nigeria, aimed at strengthening systems for survivor support while addressing harmful social norms that perpetuate GBV.

The project enhanced the capacity of Primary Health Care workers to deliver survivor-centered services, including identification, clinical management, psychosocial support, and referral, while simultaneously driving community awareness and advocacy initiatives.

Our Approach
